The Police Unity Tour is a long-distance cycle ride undertaken by hundreds of police officers across the UK, to raise awareness and funds for Care of Police Survivors.

Story

As part of wider fundraising for the National COPS Police Unity Tour bike ride in August 2025 Nottinghamshire Police Officers and Staff, alongside friends and family will be taking part in a 50 mile bike ride in memory of Sgt Graham Saville who was killed in the line of duty after being struck by a train whilst trying to save a member of public in August 2023 in Nottinghamshire.

The ride will start and finish at Ravenshead Scout Hut, Ravenshead, Nottingham on Saturday 28th June 2025. It is being hosted by Larch Farm Scouts group where both Graham’s children were cubs. All money raised will go to COPS charity who support families of Police officers who have died in the line of duty.

COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives.

"Your loss is a part of who you are but COPS helps you realise that it doesn’t define you. We are all one big family."

Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
