Air Assault Bike Challenge for 8 consecutive hours - Fullans Eurospar Portglenone · 9 May 2026

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

On Saturday 9th May at Fullans Eurospar Portglenone, I will be completing an 8 hour challenge on the Air Assault Bike to accumulate maximum miles within that time.

I am cycling in memory of my beloved sister Catherine who passed away at the age of three after a long battle with cancer. She was a total trooper.

The only service of its kind in Northern Ireland, the Children's Hospice cares for over 370 babies, children and young people each year at their dedicated Children's in-patient unit - Horizon House and in local communities through their Specialist Community Nursing Team. Their work also extends to families, supporting them from the point of diagnosis right through to the grieving period after bereavement.

They receive a small amount of government funding, so rely on the generosity of our local community to help us to continue to deliver their vital service.

Please donate and come along on the day to cheer me on and if you like you can hop on the bike for a short stint too. I would love as many from the local community to participate. So please contact me at sarah@nourishandnurtu.re if you plan on coming along!
