Story
We are taking on the challenge of cycling 100 miles in a single day through the four counties where our patients at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) will come from - Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
The NRC is changing the face of clinical rehabilitation – it’s a 70-bed, state-of-the-art specialist rehabilitation centre for NHS patients who have experienced a life-changing illness or injury.
We are lucky enough to have a fleet of adapted bikes being donated to the centre, allowing our patients to integrate cycling into their recovery. However, we need a dedicated, secure storage unit to keep these specialised bikes safe and ready for use.
Our route will start at the NRC itself, before going down to Birstall near Leicester, up out to Grantham, into Nottingham via Bingham, through Long Eaton to Alvaston in Derby, and then back through Kegworth to finish at the NRC.
Every penny raised goes directly toward this storage, ensuring our patients have the best tools available to get back on track. Please donate what you can to help us keep the wheels turning!
