Story

In September 2020 I lost my mum to a very rare aggressive cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). It displays no symptoms until it reaches its later stages, at which point treatment cannot be administered to remove the cancer and chemo is ineffective. The average life expectancy of a person with CCA is just 3 months.

My mum managed to battle this cancer for 6 months, she went to have some surgery to alleviate the symptoms though and unfortunately went into septic shock which ultimately caused a rapid decline and the end of her battle.

My family set up a fundraising group called MICA Travels, a fundraiser that sees us walking the lake district fells (Wainwrights), the Derbyshire peaks (Ethels), the 3 peaks challenge, and last year a 24 hour gaming challenge.

In 28 months we have managed to raise just shy of £10,000 for the AMMF and UK Sepsis Trust.

The AMMF is the UKs only charity dedicated to CCA and is self funded from donations.

So again this year we start our challenge again, 24 hours starting at 10am on April 8th, playing through the day/night and the clock changing to 10am on April the 9th.

What can you expect from the stream this year, well…..

Lightfall content

PVP (Comp, Banner, Clan Tournament)

Last year the stream raised £1250, I am hoping we can raise more with your help!
