Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
This year, I am proud to be taking part in The CiaO Foundation's Sponsored Walk & Wheelchair Challenge to help raise vital funds for the charity's grant programme.
As Charity Manager, I have been fortunate to be part of The CiaO Foundation since it was established in 2016. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, I have been reflecting on the many incredible people we have supported through our grants. Over the years, I have had the privilege of getting to know many of our recipients and hearing their inspiring stories of determination, resilience and achievement.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing first-hand how donations can make a genuine difference to someone's life. Whether helping to provide specialist equipment, supporting access to opportunities, or enabling individuals to pursue goals that may once have seemed out of reach, every grant has the potential to create lasting positive change.
On Sunday 4th October, I will be joining fellow trustees, supporters, grant recipients and athletes for our Sponsored Walk & Wheelchair Challenge. Walkers will enjoy routes through the beautiful countryside around Henley-on-Thames, while wheelchair athletes and previous grant recipients will take on their own challenge at the Little Marlow athletics track.
This year, a significant proportion of the funds raised will support the Weir Archer Academy, where disabled athletes receive expert coaching and training to help them reach their full potential.
As The CiaO Foundation marks ten years of supporting individuals facing serious challenges, we remain committed to helping people overcome them and to achieve their ambitions. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue that mission.
If you can, please sponsor me, I would be incredibly grateful. Your support will help us continue changing lives for many years to come.
Thank you.
