My Journey of Faith and Service

Starting on 19th July 2025, I'll be embarking on an extraordinary motorbike pilgrimage from Pinner, UK to four of Europe's most sacred sanctuaries: Lourdes (France), Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Fátima (Portugal), and Cristo Rei (Portugal). This spiritual journey, undertaken in memory of Pope John Paul II and celebrating my five years of service as a Cubs Assistant Leader, will cover about 1,800 miles across Europe

Why I'm Riding for Our Scouts

The 3rd Pinner (St Luke's) Scout Group has been a cornerstone of our community for years, providing young people with invaluable opportunities to develop character, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships. Our Scouts participate in adventures, community service, and personal growth activities that shape them into confident, capable young adults.

However, like many Scout groups, we face ongoing challenges with funding for:

Essential equipment and camping gear

Activity materials and craft supplies

Transport costs for trips and expeditions

Supporting other causes and charities like the Harrow scouts swimming club...

The Sanctuaries: A Path of Reflection and Purpose

Each sanctuary on my route holds special significance:

Lourdes, France - A place of healing and hope, where millions seek comfort and miracles

Santiago de Compostela, Spain - The endpoint of the ancient Camino pilgrimage route

Fátima, Portugal - Site of the famous Marian apparitions and a center of devotion

Cristo Rei, Portugal - The towering statue overlooking Lisbon, symbolising faith and protection

As I ride between these sacred places, I'll be reporting back into this page as much as possible.
