Next weekend, a team from The Northern Women in Tax (NWiT) are putting down our calculators, picking up our courage, and dressing up in giant, inflatable boobie costumes to march 10km through the streets for the Mammary Walk!

🎈💖 While the costumes are hilarious and we will look completely ridiculous, the reason we are marching is incredibly serious and deeply personal to our team.

Why We Are Walking: A Milestone Worth Celebrating

✨Two years ago, one of our own—a busy working mum in her early 40s with absolutely no family history of breast cancer—was diagnosed completely out of the blue.

What followed was a whirlwind of a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

We are incredibly proud to say that next weekend, she marks her TWO-YEAR post-active treatment milestone right there on the walking route with us. We are walking to celebrate how far she has come, and to make sure future generations of moms, sisters, and daughters never have to go through the same ordeal.

The Story So Far: Can You Help Us Cross the Finish Line?

🏁Earlier this year, this amazing community completely blew us away by raising a mind-blowing £18,000 at our 12-hour charity Danceathon. Your generosity was staggering.

Now, we are on the final stretch of our fundraising calendar. For this specific walk, we committed to raising £1,200. Right now, we sit at £400—meaning we have just £800 left to raise before we hit the starting line next weekend.

We know we have asked a lot of you already this year, but we are asking for your backing one final time. If you can spare even the equivalent of a client coffee or a takeaway drink to push a group of fierce Northern tax professionals over the finish line, it would mean the world to us.
