Story
We are a team of women from the Northern Women in Tax and supportive friends who have decided to support Prevent Breast Cancer by participating in the Mammary Walk on 6th Septembe.
My name is Kate Rothwell and following my own hormone positive Breast Cancer diagnosis in Spring 2024, I know I am one of the lucky one's to be in remission and taking life saving preventative breast cancer treatment. I am still recovering from my treatment last year and finding my new 'normal'.
The team will introduce themselves in the updates below 🥰🥰🥰
We will dress as boobies (in some cases as a giant inflatable breast) and walk 10km around Manchester to raise the final funds needed to build the National Breast Imaging Academy for Prevent Breast Cancer - we will literally be making a 'tit of ourselves' for charity!
In the UK breast cancer rates in women have increased by 24% since the 1990s. Incidence rates for breast cancer are projected to rise by in the UK between 2014 and 2035. Your support will impact lives, not just now, but for many years to come. For our daughters, our mothers, our sisters - but not forgetting Breast Cancer impacts fellas too!
Let’s build this life-saving academy together
Please get behind us and help us raise funds for a better future.
Thank you!
