A Day of Darkness, A Chance to Bring Light
Living in Bali, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the quiet power of Nyepi, a sacred day of stillness, reflection, and darkness. For 24 hours, the island goes silent. Lights go off, streets empty, and we all turn inward.
But for those who are blind, this darkness isn't symbolic... it’s their everyday reality!
This Nyepi, I’m raising £1,000 to support The John Fawcett Foundation, which provides free eye care and sight-restoring surgeries to those in need across Bali and beyond. It’s a chance to transform lives and to bring real light back into someone’s world.
If Nyepi asks us to pause and reflect, let that reflection lead to action. Let’s give back to this island that gives us so much.
Even a small donation can help someone see again.
