Story
Held in our Hearts understand that every parent’s grief is different and unique to them and so too is everyone’s journey after their loss.
With 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in loss and four babies stillborn each week in Scotland, the need for our services is profound. While we cannot prevent the death of a baby, with your support, we can ensure that no one must walk alone after such a heartbreaking loss.
Compassionate bereavement support should be accessible to all, without financial or time constraint.
My personal journey started when I decided to do my first 10K EMF in 2016 as a challenge before I turned 40. I had suffered 3 miscarriages, so it only seemed fitting that I chose a baby loss charity to fundraise for. Sadly, I went on to have a further 4 miscarriages and I received amazing support though HIOH befriending, support groups and counselling over the years in which I can’t thank them enough. They really saved me!
My last fundraising run of the year is the Santa Dash 10K on Sunday 22 December.
Any amount that you can spare would be gratefully appreciated.
