Story
Every day, 250 people in the UK begin losing their sight. Hearing that you have irreversible sight loss can be devastating, affecting both emotional wellbeing and daily life. Simple tasks like walking to the shops, cooking, or reading can feel overwhelming.
Our services help people live as independently as possible, whether it’s providing training to walk using a long cane, equipment advice, help understanding technology, counselling support, social groups or family activities, our goal is to build people’s confidence and independence.

He has recently started cane training, and the support and help from KAB is ongoing. He is very grateful for everything KAB do to support him as he learns how to navigate his world.
Owen has three rare Syndromes. Loeys Dietz SMAD3, CDK13 Genetic Disorder and KBG Syndrome. He is a full time wheelchair user.
