Story
Chelmsford Beekeepers need your help in raising £2,500 to buy a giant “Buzz in the City“ honey bee sculpture from Farleigh Hospice, so it can be permanently displayed in the grounds of Oaklands Park for all visitors to enjoy. ALL money raised will go directly to Farleigh Hospice to help them continue their amazing work.
The colourful, giant bee will be a lasting celebration of Chelmsford’s creativity and community - a great addition to one of our most loved green spaces: Oaklands Park, home of Chelmsford Museum.
Many of us have fond memories of watching the bees over the past 50 years at Chelmsford Museum’s indoor bee observation hive - and it still delights families today.
By helping fund the purchase, you’ll not only bring joy and art to Oaklands Park but you’ll also be supporting the ongoing work of Farleigh Hospice — a real win-win for our community.
Let’s combine our efforts and make this wish a reality... let’s give this bee 🐝 a home. Every single donation counts!
In the unlikely event that the target amount is not reached, all money raised will be donated to Farleigh Hospice.
Thank you so much
