Running the Coventry Half Marathon to Support Christians Against Poverty

Coventry Half Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
A few years ago, I suffered an Achilles tendon rupture, which kept me from running. Now, I’m finally back, and I’m running for a cause close to my heart—raising funds for Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in Coventry, supported by Hope Coventry.
Why CAP?
CAP was the first organisation that truly taught me about budgeting and personal finance. Their impact changed my life, and for the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of giving back as a volunteer money coach.
What Does CAP Do?
The Coventry CAP Debt Centre is part of a nationwide network helping people break free from financial hardship. They do this through:
✅ Debt Management – One-on-one support to create a realistic path to becoming debt-free.
✅ Free Money Courses – Empowering people with practical financial skills to take control of their money.
Between 2015 and 2023, CAP Coventry has helped 560 families, with 120 now completely debt-free and 19 currently on a debt management plan.
