With so many personal stories from employees surrounding their experience of the care provided by the ANCHOR Unit, it wasn’t a surprise when voting at the end of 2023 made Friends of ANCHOR the clear winner.

The ANCHOR Unit (Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy) is a collective of specialised wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and is the central hub of cancer and haematology care in the region. Friends of ANCHOR has delivered direct support to ANCHOR patients and staff across the North-east of Scotland and Northern Isles since 1997.
