Support our intrepid "Off to Walkers" as they take part in the 2023 Artemis Pentland Peaks Challenge in support of charities Mary's Meals and the John Muir Trust.

THE CHALLENGE

Team members from Off to Work Scotland and Northeast branch will trek across the Pentland Hills, just south of Edinburgh.

Half the team are completing the Silver route (14 miles), and half will hike the Gold route, listed as the "toughest endurance challenge" available on the day.

The Gold route is 27 miles, climbing 7 peaks, and should take approximately 12 hours to complete.

At the same time, our colleague George will be trekking a similar distance in France.

ABOUT THE CHARITIES

The John Muir Trust is a Scottish charity, established in 1983 to conserve wild land and wild places for the benefit of all. The Trust runs an environmental award scheme, manages several estates, mainly in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and campaigns for better protection of wild land.

Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries. The promise of a good meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.

Off to Work is proud to have sponsored Mary's Meals in the past, making donations each time one of our casual team members was added to a client's "hero" list. We previously have paid to feed all 1564 pupils at Mbindo Primary School In Dowa, Malawi for one year by our teams simply doing their very best on the job for our amazing clients!
