A Year of Handstands for The Brain Tumour Charity + a mate.
Keep up with the daily challenge by following my Instagram: @officialhandstandharry
What began as a pint-fuelled bet in a pub with my best mate Ellis - after a tough two-day hike along the Jurassic Coast - has grown into something far more meaningful.
After facing several health challenges, my mate Ellis recently shared the difficult news of his brain tumour and his plan to undergo surgery to remove it.
Ellis has been an exceptional friend ever since we met in my first week of university and we’ve been close pals ever since. His strength, humour and resilience throughout have been nothing short of inspiring - I truly haven’t met anyone like him. One of a kind.
When I asked which charity he’d want me to support, Ellis chose 'The Brain Tumour Charity' and I’m proud to be fundraising for the incredible work they do.
As the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of brain tumour research, they’re driving vital progress toward new treatments, better outcomes, and much-needed change.
I set myself a fundraising target of £3,650 - that's a tenner every day for a year.
I’ve already raised £1,620 through Instagram (see below screenshot), but their fundraisers only run for 60 days, so this new JustGiving page will keep the challenge going. That leaves £2,030 to reach my original goal, but I’ve kept the full target here as a stretch goal - because why not aim high?
Your support means a lot - thank you.
