Belfast City Marathon · 3 May 2026 ·

OG Cancer NI was formed specifically to benefit patients and families affected by Oesophago-Gastic Cancer in Northern Ireland. We aim to support patients and carers, raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Oesophago-gastic cancers, fund improvements in treatments and advocate for patients.

Story

Hello! Thank you for clicking onto our page!

The nurses, dieticians, doctors and anaesthetists here on Ward 2 North in Belfast City Hospital are extremely passionate about helping our patients affected by Oesophageal and Stomach Cancer at ward level. Alongside this, the incredible team at OGCancerNI give vital support, information and guidance to patients and families when they need it most. They are also giving support towards the development and implementation of robotic oesophectomy services which provide accurate and less invasive surgery techniques for our patients!

As a team we feel strongly about supporting the essential work this wonderful charity continues to do and so what better way to raise some much-needs than taking to the streets and lacing up our trainers to take part in the Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 3rd May 2026!

We have set ourselves an aspirational target of £1,500 per relay team, meaning the overall goal is an amazing £3000. Any pounds or pennies you are able to donate towards this fantastic cause would be hugely appreciated - every penny raised will go directly to OGCancerNI.

We'll do the training if you do the giving!

Thank you so much for your support,

Team 2 North
