Almost two years ago the words no person deserves to hear were said to me by the doctors. It felt surreal, like it was happening to someone else. It still feels like that. My life got divided into before and after 3rd of September 2021. Since then many hard moments happened while undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and everything else afterwards and in between.

Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief helped to soften the blow my body took at the time. They offered massage, therapy sessions and support to have my family with me at some critical moments. They offered wigs, which even though I chose to substitude with scarves, I understood are so important for many at this critical time. GSCR continues to do much more than that.

Cancer managed to change many things, but it did not manage to kill our ability to dream and hope, for cancer diagnosis has a massive impact not only on the patient, but the close ones as well. My fiancé has been with me through it all and we both feel grateful for all the help that has been offered.

Our dream is to be able to stand at the top of Kilimajaro on that crucial day of 3rd of September and along the way raise funds as a massive thank you to GSCR knowing that they offer the help to someone who is currently struggling through the diagnosis.

Our hope is that you join us in these efforts.

We realize that there is a chance we might not get to the top, but it is the ability to dare and to try is what matters the most.
