“I Hear Your Voice” – A Concert of Remembrance for Sasha and Hope for Ukrainian Children with Cancer

I Hear Your Voice concert in memory of Sasha Ghosh · 5 July 2025
I am the Founder and the Chair of the Canterbury for Ukraine Ladies’ Choir, and on 5 July 2025, we are hosting a very special concert in memory of Alexandra (Sasha) Ghosh — a kind, talented, and incredibly brave British-Ukrainian girl who lost her battle with cancer at just 16 years old.
This concert, “I Hear Your Voice”, is our tribute to Sasha, and a way to bring our voices together in support of other children still fighting this devastating disease.
Our choir brings together Ukrainian women displaced by war and living in Canterbury. Through song, we support one another, preserve our culture, and raise funds to help those in need — especially children and families affected by the war and its aftermath. Over the past year, we’ve performed at community events, remembrance ceremonies, and fundraisers across the city. This concert is our most personal yet.
We are aiming to raise £5,000 through this concert to help children battling cancer. Every pound donated through this page goes directly to this cause.
Donate what you can – every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
Share this page with friends, family, and colleagues who might want to support.
Join us at the concert on 5 July and stand with us in song and solidarity.
💙 A Voice for Sasha. A Voice for Hope.
We sing in memory. We sing in support. And we sing so no child has to face cancer alone.
Thank you for standing with us.
