Story
In April 2027, I’ll be running for Breakthrough T1D at London Landmarks Half Marathon, raising funds and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2020 at the age of 21, but T1D has been part of my life for much longer than that. My mum was diagnosed when she was just 11. We both experience the daily challenges that come with this autoimmune condition, from monitoring blood glucose levels every hour to taking insulin with every meal.
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me, my Mum and the wider community, helping to support the vital work being done to improve the lives of everyone affected by Type 1 Diabetes.
Thank you.
