Story
Tilly came to us as an ex-racer from the Greyhound Lifeline and has since settled into life as a much-loved & gentle family pet in 2021.
Since then I have always had the charity in mind to give something back, I gave a couple of volunteering days (one with my work team) to help with their move to Southampton - hopefully this fundraising page can be a more sustained support.
The Greyhound Lifeline does such amazing work, taking in Greyhounds at the end of their racing careers and matching them with suitable homes for adoption. Part of this process involves introducing them to "normal" household noises like washing machines & vacuums, other pets and children. This is where the hounds begin to transition from track training and kennels to family life and... the sofa.
The hounds spend a while in the charity's care - needing daily exercise, food and play as well as medical trips to vets. All of this taken care of by unpaid volunteers who help give these dogs a second chance at life as a family pet, many ex-racers don't meet such a fortunate fate.
Looking to raise funds through charity van washes at work and kind donations.
