Story
Hi everyone,
In July 2022, my dad was diagnosed with locally advanced bowel cancer. After a challenging couple of years, we were incredibly grateful to be told he was in remission in 2024, made even more special thanks to the £7,000 raised for Bowel Cancer UK through your generous donations.
Sadly, following his most recent scan over Christmas, we received the news that the cancer has returned in his lung.
Because of this, I have decided to take on the Rome Marathon in March 2026 to raise vital funds for Bowel Cancer UK. The charity works tirelessly to fund research, support patients and their families, and find alternative treatments to fight this disease.
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, after lung, breast and prostate. Symptoms can vary, but the main signs to look out for include:
🔘 A persistent change in bowel habits
🔘 Blood in your stools
🔘 Pain or swelling in your abdomen
As we know, early detection can make all the difference.
Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me and my family — thank you so much for your support 💛
