Thank you for making your way here to my JustGiving Page. On September 14th me and my best mate Russell will be cycling the London to Brighton bike ride for 2025, having decided that in our 30’s it was time to slide into some Lycra and begin cycling!

As part of taking on this challenge we wanted to fundraise for a charity run by a friend of mine Martin, this charity is called Charlie’s promise.

Charlie's Promise is dedicated to helping the fight against the rising issue of knife crime in Surrey and across the UK. No parent should suffer the loss of a child. The pain of losing a child to crime is like no other. Charlie’s family know this pain. His family live this pain every second of every day. Working alongside professional bodies they are best placed to understand the complex needs of family and friends who find themselves victims of knife crime.

Through a series of presentations, they share Charlie’s story and the impact his death has had on his family and friends and the wider community. Using this experience they show young people how decisions and choices can have severe consequences and ruin lives.

As I am sure you can tell the work that Charlie’s Promise deliver in our communities is vitally important, especially as a parent myself, so with that said if you are able can i please ask that you donate and support this important charity.
