Oliver's fundraiser for The Movement Centre

Oliver JONES is raising money for The Movement Centre

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Most of us take for granted the ability to control our head, sit, crawl, stand or walk. We help children with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay & other problems of movement control to achieve these skills through a unique therapy, Targeted Training, which can completely change their lives.

Story

This April, I am taking on the challenge of the London Marathon to raise money for The Movement Centre, a charity very close to my heart. Based in my hometown of Oswestry, The Movement Centre provides life-changing Targeted Training therapy to help children with movement disabilities gain essential functional skills, improving their independence and transforming their lives.

My son, Jesse, was lucky enough to complete a 12-month course of Targeted Training at The Movement Centre last year. This specialist therapy made a huge difference to his strength, mobility, and confidence, helping him to progress towards greater independence. Many children who visit The Movement Centre face challenges with movement control due to disabilities such as cerebral palsy, but with the right support, they can achieve incredible things.

By supporting my marathon journey, you’ll be helping more children like Jesse access this vital therapy, giving them the best chance to reach their full potential. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Thank you for your support!
