Story
Hi everyone,
I’m running the Northwich 10k on 29th June to raise money for The Joshua Tree, a charity that supports families affected by childhood cancers. This cause has recently become personal to me.
On 28th February, my girlfriend Evie’s younger brother, Ollie, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Ollie is an amazing, brave young lad, and the strength he—and his entire family—have shown over the past months has left me in awe.
They have handled every step with courage, grace, and love. Watching them come together and face this challenge has moved me.
With my own brother being the same age as Ollie, it’s a sobering reminder of how suddenly life can change, and how important it is to support one another through everything.
That’s why I’m lacing up and running—for Ollie, and for every child and family fighting a battle like this.
The Joshua Tree has been there to support Ollie and his family, providing emotional, practical, and therapeutic support. Everything they do makes an incredible difference—and they rely on donations to keep doing what they do.
Please, if you can, donate whatever you can to help me support this amazing charity.
Let’s run for Ollie. Let’s stand with every child like him!
Thank you for taking your time to read about Ollie and the McAlley family.
