***Update***
**Due to an injury I have had to postpone my place till the 2026 London Marathon, this is now guaranteed with Muscular Dystrophy and will be continuing to raise on this page.**
On Sunday the 27th April I will be running the London Marathon - and anyone that’s knows me will know this is the biggest challenge I have undertaken as I am not a runner, hate running and have not managed to complete anything past a 5k before starting this training!
I will be running the Marathon to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK for my girlfriends brother who sadly died from the Duchenes Muscular Dystrophy. The Charity provides enormous support or families and individuals and although there is currently no cure any donations big or small can help with ground breaking research into the condition.
**Follow on update on raising for the charity**
Sadly since starting this journey and in to 2025 my girlfriend Becca has been diagnosed as a carrier of the disease and after further follow up tests that she was suffering from Heart Failure - which, with fundraising we hope can help with research in to future treatments towards helping stop or slow this deteriorating condition as at present there is not funding in to that for manifesting carriers.
