On the 6th of September, I’ll be running the Sea2Sky 53km Ultra Marathon through Snowdonia with my mate Pat. I’m doing this run for myself, but also for something very close to my heart.

A family I’ve known for a long time—and even lived with for a while—has been through a really tough few months. Their eldest son, Sam, has been battling lymphoma. Thankfully, Sam is now on the mend, which is amazing news. He’s a brilliant young lad, and they’re a truly wonderful family.

I visited them recently and asked if I could run this race in support of Sam. They told me that Young Lives vs Cancer has been an incredible source of help throughout everything. So I’d like to use this opportunity to raise awareness for the charity and the many children and families they support through difficult times like this.
