Story
Those that know me well, will know that my older brother, Jack, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life limiting, muscle detoriorating disability which left him wheelchair-bound by the time he was a teenager, and now as a young adult, entirely devoid of any muscular strength, severely limiting his ability to do everyday activities that we take for granted.
Being so close to this, I have experienced first hand the strain this disability puts on the people who suffer from it and the support communities around them, which is why I wanted to take the opportunity to raise money for such a great supporting charity, Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 110,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions.
On April 27th 2025, I will be running the London Marathon in support of MDUK. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
