Story
As a volunteer trustee for DASH (Discovering Autistic Spectrum Happiness), I'm excited to be taking on the 10-mile Pewsey Vale Challenge Walk with my family: Nina, Livvy (11), Aaron (13), and me.
Now, a 10-mile walk might not sound too daunting, but there's a catch. The challenge is to complete the route in under four hours, while tackling around 300 metres of elevation along the way. That's quite a test, especially for a pair of determined young legs!
We're taking part for a bit of fun, to challenge ourselves, and most importantly to raise money for DASH. Other walkers are welcome to join the event and support this fantastic local cause.
DASH supports autistic people and their families across the Swindon area, including adults who have recently received an autism diagnosis. The funds raised will go directly towards helping DASH continue to provide its vital support services, activities, and guidance to those who need them most.
If you'd like to support us, any donation, large or small, would be hugely appreciated.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and completely secure. Your details are safe, and JustGiving will never sell them or send unwanted emails. Thank you for your support. Every pound raised will help DASH continue making a real difference to autistic people and their families in our community.
Please donate if you can, and wish us luck for the hills!
