Story

Six dedicated rugby players from Fawley RFC are embarking on an incredible journey to take on the "BEAST OF THE BEACONS 20 MILE TRAIL RUNNING CHALLENGE" on 18th April 2026, all in support of the Oakhaven Hospice Trust.

This exhilarating challenge will lead us through some of the most breathtaking yet demanding trails within the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park. With a time limit of eight hours to conquer 20 miles and an elevation gain of 4,219 feet, we will face everything from steep inclines to rocky paths, soft forest trails, mud, rivers, and perhaps even a surprise snowfall!

Oakhaven Hospice Trust holds a special place in our hearts. This charity provides vital palliative care and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones, both at home and in hospice settings. The compassionate team of nurses, doctors, counsellors, and physiotherapists at Oakhaven work tirelessly to alleviate physical symptoms while offering psychological, spiritual, and social support tailored to each individual's needs. Their expertise combined with genuine compassion ensures that people receive the care they need during their most challenging times.

We invite you to join us in making a difference. Our goal is to raise £2,000 for Oakhaven Hospice Trust. Your generous contributions will directly impact those who rely on this essential service. Together, we can help provide comfort and support when it matters most.

Thank you for considering a donation; your kindness means the world to us and those we aim to help.
