Story
On April 26th I’ll be running the London Marathon – my first ever marathon – to raise money for Club Soda, a charity creating life-changing music and creative opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism.
So, if you’d like to support inclusive music and watch me suffer for 26.2 miles, please donate!
Why this matters
I work closely with Club Soda and see first-hand the impact it has.
Club Soda creates spaces where people with learning disabilities and autism can DJ, perform, make music, run events and build creative careers.
For many people this is the first time they’ve had access to professional music spaces and opportunities that most of us take for granted.
What your donation does
My target is £1,500 — funding a full year of free music workshops for 10 young people and adults who otherwise wouldn’t be able to take part.
That means regular opportunities to:
- Learn music production
- DJ and perform
- Build confidence
- Be part of an inclusive creative community
For example:
- £5 funds one free workshop place
- £10 funds two workshop places
- £25 funds five workshop places
- £50 funds a whole term of workshops for one participant
- £150 funds a whole year of workshops for one participants
- £1500 funds a full year of workshops for 10 people
The ask
Training for this marathon is already proving challenging….and race day will be even more so.
If you’re able to donate £10, £20 or whatever you can spare, it would mean a huge amount.
You’ll be supporting an amazing charity – and helping motivate me through 26.2 miles.
Thank you so much for your support 💙
