A team of incredible CoppaFeel! runners are taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 6th April 2025 to end the late detection of breast cancer.

Story

I'm raising funds for CoppaFeel!, a breast cancer awareness charity that's incredibly close to my heart.

My journey with breast cancer began when I was just 11 years old. My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given a limited life expectancy. This news turned our world upside down, not knowing if I would have my mum by my side for my teenage years.

I watched as my mum endured chemotherapy. The fear and uncertainty we faced as a family was overwhelming and incredibly difficult to witness. Soon after, my nan was also diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. These experiences left an indelible mark on my life and highlighted the critical importance of early detection.

Thankfully, against the odds, both my mum and nan were very lucky to have survived this evil disease. Their strength and resilience continues to inspire me every day. However, their battles made me acutely aware of how crucial it is for everyone to have the confidence and knowledge to check for lumps regularly.

This is why CoppaFeel!'s mission resonates so deeply with me. Founded by Kris Hallenga, CoppaFeel! is dedicated to educating people about the importance of early breast cancer detection. They aim to ensure that no one faces a late diagnosis and takes action, no matter their age.

By supporting this cause, you're helping to spread a crucial message: knowing your body can save your life. CoppaFeel! encourages everyone to check their chests regularly and trust their instincts – something I now understand the value of firsthand.

Your donation will contribute to educational programs and awareness campaigns that empower individuals to take control of their health. Together, we can make a real difference in catching breast cancer early and improving survival rates.

Let's work together to create a future where late-stage breast cancer diagnoses are a thing of the past, and where families don't have to endure the fear and uncertainty that mine did.

Remember Kris Hallenga's inspiring words: 'Trust your body, believe in hope, leave room for miracles.' Thank you for your support in this cause that means so much to me and countless others affected by breast cancer."
