Story
On the 22nd August 2024 my Dad sadly lost his battle with cancer after one hell of a fight. Dad spent his final weeks of life in the loving care of Myton Hospice, who ensured he left this world peacefully and with dignity. For the past 2 years we as a family have been responsible for Dad’s care and could not of been more grateful to Myton for enabling us to no longer be Dad’s carers, but his family again, in his final week’s of life. The love, kindness and empathy that every staff member at Myton showed to not only Dad, but the entire family was beyond anything we could ever of asked for. We as a family will be eternally grateful for the incredible support we received.
Heartbreakingly, 3 out of 5 individuals will pass away whilst on a waiting list for Myton due to a lack of funding for in-patient beds. Myton are urgently trying to raise £240,000 to be able to fund the vital care required for those on end of life care within Coventry and Warwickshire.
Myself and Mum will be completing Glow for Myton on 19th October in memory of my incredible Dad. We would be most grateful if anyone could spare any money (no matter how small) to ensure more families like ours can benefit from Myton’s incredible care and support.
This one is for you Dad. We love and miss you always 🤍
