Story
Fibromyalgia is a recognised chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. A common illness with an est. prevalence of 2.9% - 4.7%. The pain tends to be felt as diffuse aching or burning, often described as head to toe. It may be worse at some times than at others and may also change location, usually becoming more severe in parts of the body that are used most.
So the next challenge is officially set… 💪
I’m taking on the Hadrian’s Wall Challenge — 84 miles in total — all to raise money for Fibromyalgia Action UK.
If you know me, you’ll know that 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Since then, everyday life has become more challenging in ways most people don’t see.
Fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, which is one of the reasons it’s still so misunderstood. For me, it means living with pain every single day. But I’ve learned that if I stop moving forward, physically or mentally, that’s when the condition starts to take more from me.
So this challenge is about more than just walking 84 miles. It’s about proving to myself that I’m stronger than the voice that says “you can’t.” It’s about pushing limits, raising awareness, and showing that even on the hard days, we are still capable of incredible things.
This is my life. This is my challenge. And I’m ready for it.
If anyone would like to join me for the full challenge, or even just a day or two along the way, I’d love the support.
Now let’s do this — raise awareness, raise money, and make a difference. ❤️
