I'm taking on the Coventry Half Marathon for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, in memory of my nephew Star Edwin James Fellows White, born on 5th November 2016. He suffered from a rare illness called encephalocele, which happens when the structure that forms the brain and spinal cord does not close completely during fetal development. The severity of star’s condition was life threatening and he sadly passed away on the 2nd of December 2016. When we found out about his illness the consultant gave us no time frame, they said he could pass away whilst my sister was still pregnant or immediately once he was born. However he proved all the doctors wrong and lived for 27 sad but beautiful days, we will never ever forget that precious time we got with him. After 8 years we have always wanted to give back to Zoe's place for being so amazing throughout Stars stay. We stayed in the family room for 22 days and the staff, nurses and doctors were all so lovely and built up a lovely bond with star and our family. I am going to fight to get to that finish line just like my amazing nephew did to spend the little life he had with us. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help me raise this £500 for my nephew and this amazing charity.
