The “Olivia” project with the Langa Township Pre-School Trust

Olivia Lindh-Llusia is raising money for UK Langa Township Pre-School Trust

Running a half-marathon

Story

Hello everyone,

I have taken on the challenge to manage one of the food projects for the Langa Township Pre-School Trust Charity which helps young children in the township of Langa, South Africa.

Firstly, I am aiming to raise £2000 pounds, which will provide nutrition boxes for 1217 children in 22 unfunded pre-schools. To raise funds I will be running a half marathon in the coming months.

Secondly, on top of raising money I will also be contacting local South African food companies in the hope of establishing a regular supply of food going for these young children as I felt like I could do more than provide a one-time supply.

The “Ovarian Lottery” as described by Warren Buffet, has decided the trajectory of so many people before they were even born. While many of us have won it, there are millions who weren’t as fortunate and have been born into poverty, conflict or places with limited access to education, healthcare, and food.

My motivation behind this charity project is rooted in one simple truth: those who drew a better hand in life have a responsibility to help those who didn’t because where you start in life should not determine where you finish.

Your generosity truly has the power to turn hunger into hope. For a child, one meal is never just food - it can be the strength to learn, the courage to dream, and the beginning of a brighter future.

Thank you so much in advance for your donations.

With love, Olivia.
