I work as a neonatal nurse on Frimley park Neonatal unit, myself and some of my friends and family are taking part in Marlow Half marathon to raise money for out units 'Little Stars' Charity. Our aim is to deliver family centered care and encourage parents to be involved in all aspects of their babies care during their stay on the ward. We need your support to enable us to support all members of a family during their time on the ward. A more comfortable family room doesn't sound much, but our parents spend hours/days/weeks and sometimes months on the unit, to have somewhere they can relax , make a cup of team and eat some lunch would make a huge difference to these families.

We would love to provide parents with a kitchen area where families can store food, make drinks and even a slice of toast. We would like to buy a sofa bed and comfortable chair to make this room feel more like a home away from home for our families.
