Olivia Mulholland is raising money for Friends of St Louis Ballymena

Supporting Community Project Work in Ghana 2025 · 21 June 2025

FoSL exists to advance the education of the pupils, promote their wellbeing and to develop effective relationships between families and friends of past and present students and teachers. By building a strong family and fundraising network FoSL aims to give all pupils the best opportunities in life.

Story

My name is Olivia Mulholland and I am currently a lower sixth pupil at St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena.

On the 21st June this year, I will be travelling with a select group of teachers and pupils from my school to Ghana, West Africa to work alongside the St Louis Sisters in their local community of Oku.

The St Louis Sisters have highlighted areas where support is needed at the local school and clinic, and we aim to work directly with the people of Oku to deliver real life benefits for them.

During our time there, we will be involved in various projects, including:

• Painting and planting which will enhance the school and clinic environments.

• Participating in workshops focused on Developing Education, learning from the community and sharing our knowledge.

• And finally, helping to fund a small building project to meet specific needs within the village in Oku.

I am asking for your financial support to help raise the much needed funds to make all of this possible.

All funds raised will go directly to these projects, your support will make a real difference to the community, and I would be so grateful for any contribution you can offer.

Thank you, Olivia.
