Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After a year's hiatus, I will once again be partaking in the 2024 edition of Cycle to MIPIM, which will see me and 75 other professionals from the built environment sectors take on the challenge of cycling from London to Cannes in March in time for the conference. The stats:
7 days - 1,438 kilometres - 17,260 metres of elevation gain.
As part of this, I will be raising a minimum of £3000 and awareness towards Club Peloton. Club Peloton (clubpeloton.org) is the not-for-profit and real estate cycling community transforming the lives of vulnerable young people. Since 2006, it has given £4.5 million in grants to projects that make a real difference. Cycle to MIPIM is Club Pelotons original endurance fundraising ride that brings together cyclists of all abilities to ride, network and fundraise. Specifically, any donations will be going towards the following four charities that Club Peloton supports:
Coram: creating better chances for thousands of children across the UK through adoption and fostering.
Cyclists Fighting Cancer: helping children and young people living with cancer across the UK regain their physical fitness, improve mental wellness and reduce social isolation through bicycle funding
Tom Ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust: helping disadvantaged young people see the potential value of their own lives and therefore the lives of others too.
Multiple System Atrophy Trust: supporting people affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA) – a rare neurological disease with no known cause or cure.
Please consider donating to these very worthy causes - in these financially trying times, no amount is too small to make a difference.
P.S. those in my close network will remark on the feasibility of this event baring in mind my recently broken wrist - all part of the enhanced challenge! Rest assured my training has had the added suffering of being predominantly on my turbo - but surely that's a donation motivator as any! I'll be allowed on two wheels in the great outdoors by the event, ready and raring to tackle the length of France.
