Story
January 24; in the blink of an eye our lives changed. We lost Steve unexpectedly, none of us will ever understand, process or accept what happened or why.
Ever since we have been on a journey of disbelief, heartache, and a heavy sense of guilt with trying to find ourselves again and a poor attempt at repair.
Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance Crew "parachuted" in to do everything they could to save Steve. Sadly, that didn't happen. We saw them courageously try their best, we saw their sadness and defeat, and we saw their upset when they had no option but to tell us the gut-wrenching news. Our family will always be grateful for everything they did, but even more so, their love, support, constant contact and genuine concern with how we have been coping ever since.
Therefore, we feel obliged to thank H&IOW crew for all they have done and continue to do.
September 7th, the "fantastic 5" are doing a ultramarathon - 100km over south downs way within 24 hours. Madness.
None of us have trained, prepared, or cared about the detail. What we will do, is complete it. It will be with a heavy heart, winging, blisters and probably a hip-flask for the last 10 miles; but importantly, a huge sense of pride.
This is the type of nonsense he would do, so here we are, lets be more Steve ♥️
