Olivia's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

12 hours of lashing, cake sale and tombola · 27 January 2024
As someone who has personally witnessed the devastating effects of Alzheimer's, I am determined to make a difference. It all started with my grandad, a man who is loved by so many but slowly losing his memory. After being diagnosed, he lost his wife (my nana), and my family became his primary caregivers. It's a job that I wish I could take away the pain from, but unfortunately, that's not possible. My family care for him around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are like angels and deserve all the gratitude in the world which is often overlooked. But I want them to know it’s seen by those who are most important.
I know my nana would be beyond grateful for their work looking after him if she were still with us today. That's why I'm fundraising for Alzheimer's Society - an organization working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. By giving help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future, they are making a real difference in people's lives.
On January 27th, 2024 at Olivia Jaynes beauty bar, I'll be participating in a personal challenge - 12 hours of lashing along with a cake sale and tombola. Every single penny raised will go directly to Alzheimer's Society - not just the profit made from my services. My goal is to raise £ 250 to support this incredible organization and raise awareness about this disease that affects so many families like mine.
