In September 2025, my younger sister Brooke was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at just 20 years old.

From the moment we walked through the doors of The Beatson, we were met with incredible care, compassion and support. The nurses, doctors and volunteers have been nothing short of amazing, not just to Brooke, but to our whole family.

As a family, we have felt truly supported every step of the way. The Beatson has been a place of reassurance, strength and kindness during a time we will never forget.

I’m running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to give back in any way I can and to support the vital work they do for patients and families across Scotland.
