Story
In 2011 my Dad was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Thanks to the amazing technology that we have today, and the work of nurses, doctors, and specialists he has been in remission for many years now.
He did his bit - running Chester Marathon in 2025. Now, it is time for me to do my bit. I HATE running. H A T E it. I cannot overstate how much I dislike it. But, it is for a really good cause. I will be running a 5k, 10k, Half-Marathon, and Marathon to raise money for Blood Cancer UK. Also - probably an important note - I will be running every race in clown makeup to really get the essence of my disdain of running. My journey begins 7th June 2026 with the Morecambe 5k, with other race details to follow.
The fact that my Dad has cancer just 15 years ago and is now running marathons really holds testiment to how much of an inspiration he is to me, and I am beyond proud of him. That being said, this fundraiser really means a lot to me. If you can, please donate. If not, please come and show your support as I start my running journey.
Already exhausted,
Olivia
