This charity enhances the facilities at CERU to make the patients and relatives as comfortable as possible. There are many possible causes for acquired brain injuries and the some of the most common at CERU are: Road traffic accidents, sports injuries and falls. Story

In April, I will be running the London Marathon in support of Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), which provides specialist neuro-rehabilitation for people recovering from brain injuries.

In 2018, my dad, Jez, was involved in a serious car accident and sustained multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.

He spent two months in ICU, followed by a further two months at CERU. There, the incredible team helped him relearn how to walk, talk, write, and care for himself again.

I’m running this marathon to raise money for the hospital that made it possible for my dad to return home to his family and continue living his active life. The funds raised will help support other patients and families facing similarly challenging times.

Any support, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

To you, Dad ♥️
