Story
In June 2019 I found I had a pulmonary embolism which changed the way I thought about things. When I went into hospital on the hottest weekend of the year (I was so mad that I missed it!) I was told that it could have been fatal if left any longer. I have also always suffered with Asthma which has made it harder for me especially during the winter months. Having the walking has really helped me to improve my fitness and better my mental health.
I started working at the IOW donkey sanctuary in July 2022 and it has entirely changed my life with the people I’ve met and new experiences I’ve had. The animals at work are very close to my heart and I want to help them as much as possible.
On 6th and 7th September I will walk 100km continuously to raise money for the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. Every penny is gratefully received!
