Story
On the 30th August, I’ll be taking on the Sydney Marathon to raise £2,000 for the Against Breast Cancer charity funding vital research, support, and awareness.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting women in the UK. Right now, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime and a woman is diagnosed every 10 minutes. Around 55,000 women receive this life-changing diagnosis every year.
Behind every statistic is a mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend or colleague whose life has been turned upside down.
Against Breast Cancer funds vital research into secondary spread breast cancer, which is currently an incurable disease that claims around 12,000 lives each year in the UK.
Today, Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research into new treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis and advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread. Working with expert scientists they help to increase the survival rates of all breast cancer patients and ultimately, discover a vaccine against breast cancer.
If you can support my challenge, I would be incredibly grateful. Together, we can make a real difference. 🩷✨🫶
