The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Myself and my friend are 13 years old and currently in Year 9 at Risedale School. We are working towards our Duke of Edinburgh Award and as part of this, we are organising an afternoon tea to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our event will be held on Sunday 28th June at Colburn Village Hall from 2pm–4pm.

We have chosen to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support because they do incredible work helping people affected by cancer, providing care, guidance, and support when it is needed most. It is a charity that means a lot to many people, including those in our local community.

We really hope you can support us in raising as much money as possible for such a wonderful cause.

If there are any local businesses that would like to donate a raffle or tombola prize, we would be very grateful, please get in touch. Prizes can be dropped off at Colburn Village Hall, or collection can be arranged.

For anyone who can’t attend the afternoon tea, we also have a JustGiving page where you can still donate.

We hope to raise as much money as possible.

Every little bit of help is truly appreciated.

Thank you

Love, Olivia Bamber & Rosie Dobson
