Olivia's fundraiser for Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis

Olivia Mackereth is raising money for Rape Crisis Centre

Trek to Machu Picchu · 9 October 2026

Women and girls of all ages and backgrounds experience rape and sexual assault, and it can happen at any time in their lives. Rape Crisis has one fundamental aim - to provide a free and confidential support service to women and girls who have experienced sexual violence.

Story

Hi! My name is Olivia and I am taking on the challenge of trekking to Machu Picchu in October 2026 to raise funds for Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis (GCRC). GCRC is an organisation that provides vital support to survivors of sexual violence. As a worker at GCRC and through my personal experiences, I've seen first hand how essential safe, compassionate and trauma informed services are and how life changing it can be when someone is believed and supported. This trek is about pushing myself physically and mentally while helping to ensure that survivors across Glasgow and Clyde can access free, confidential support when they need it most.

Over the next 9 months, I will be partaking in various treks and challenges across Scotland in preparation for Machu Picchu as well as hosting many fun events to help raise funds!

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis continue the incredible work they do day in day out and stand with survivors on their path to healing. If not us then, then who ❤️
