I am running for Notting Hill Genesis (NHG), raising money for their hardship fund which was put in place to help residents in crisis.

The fund helps alleviate hardship and short-term crises, which can be anything from a fridge breaking down to being unable to afford groceries for a family or even energy to heat their home. The hardship fund also helps housing officers pay for community events, wellbeing sessions or tenancy sustainment projects that benefit our residents.

The fund played a vital role in supporting residents affected by the pandemic. In the past two years, Notting Hill Genesis have awarded £280,000 to help fund household items, school uniforms and supermarket vouchers to those in need.
