🏃♂️ A 100km Jog Along the Thames… What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
In September, I’ll be lacing up my trainers for the Thames Path Challenge - that’s 100km (62 miles!) from London to Henley on Thames. Yes, you read that right. 100 kilometres. On foot. In one go.
I’m taking on this slightly mad adventure to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice, an incredible charity that cared for my Grandma - Cathy Croft - in her final weeks with compassion, warmth, and dignity. They supported our whole family during such a tough time - and now it’s my turn to give something back.

Why East Cheshire Hospice 💜
East Cheshire Hospice isn’t just a place - it’s a community of kindness and support. The staff and volunteers there make an enormous difference to families across the North West, offering care and comfort when it’s needed most.
They rely almost entirely on donations to keep providing that care and need nearly £10,000 a day to keep their services going. Every pound raised helps them continue their amazing work - so by sponsoring me, you’ll be helping real people when they need it most.
The Challenge
100km is a long way. There will be blisters, loads of gels, probably some questionable snacks, and a lot of internal bargaining along the way (“just one more checkpoint…”).
But there’ll also be beautiful views, great company, and the satisfaction of doing something genuinely meaningful - all while probably wondering why I didn’t just sign up for a shorter event.
If you live close by the course I would absolutely love to see you out on the route and receive your support and words of encouragement (and snacks)!
How You Can Help
If you’d like to support me (and East Cheshire Hospice), please consider making a donation.
Every bit helps - whether it’s £5, £20, or the price of a decent pair of running socks! 🧦
You can also help by sharing this page with friends and family - the more people who know, the more we can raise.
Thank you so much for your support - it means the world to me, and it’ll mean even more to the families who rely on the hospice. 💙
